Are you a creative bartender?  Do you think your creations could stand up to the competition?  Here is your chance to compete in Bar Fight!, VLFWF’s Spirited Competition on January 15th to name the Official Cocktail of the 2025 Visit Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival.  Not only will you earn bragging rights if you win the competition, but you’ll get your very own Bar Fight! Championship Chain and a cash prize of $1,000.

Competitor application is open until September 15, 2024 and the rules for entry are below.  Chosen competitors will be notified by October 16th by festival representatives.  Should you have any questions, please email info@vlfoodwine.com.

Entry rules:

1- Each applicant can only apply one time.  If an applicant submits multiple entries, only the first entry will be considered.

2- Your entry MUST be in the form of full size cocktails (minimum of 3oz of liquid)

3- Your entry MUST contain a minimum of 1 spirit

4- Your entry MUST NOT contain more than 6 ingredients including drops and dashes. Solid garnishes such as herbs or citrus peel are not considered an ingredient.  Ice is not considered an ingredient.

5- Your recipe entered MUST be the original creation of the applicant. Applicants found to have plagiarized a known, existing cocktail  will be disqualified from consideration.

6- Your recipe entered MUST have measurements expressed in milliliters or ounces.  ‘Dashes’ and ‘drops’ from bitters/tinctures/acids are allowed.
